3 Day Chair Caning Course

Our chair caning course is designed to teach you the basic principles over three days.

Students will be taught the popular six-way caning pattern on a simple chair seat. All materials will be provided together with a basic kit of tools and an instruction booklet to take home after the course.

This course will enable the student to tackle any basic chair caning project.

Advanced Course in Chair Seating, Seagrass and Rush

We are introducing a new two day course in Chair Seating for those with some previous experience who wish to tackle different or more difficult projects such as alternative caning patterns, irregular shaped and curved panels. This course also offers an opportunity to revise and improve existing techniques.

Together with chair caning, we are also offering tuition in sea grass or rush seating on this course. Seagrass and rush is attractive and easy to learn. All necessary materials are included to allow you to complete your project to take home at the end of the course, and a footstool frame can be provided if you do not have a project of your own.
